SULNOR, LDA RECEIVED A DELEGATION OF ANGOLAN BUSINESSMEN AND THE ANGOLAN GOVERNMENT |
|
SULNOR, Lda, has recently received a delegation of Angolan businessmen and the Angolan Government. The delegation included the Angolan Minister of Trade, Joaquim Icuma Muafumba, the Adviser Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of Angola and the director of the Angolan Ministry of Trade, which were accompanied by nine businessmen in their respective areas of activity to conduct business with the Portuguese Association of SME.
After a visit to the facilities, and after explaining the manufacturing processes of the company’s products to the entire Angolan delegation, the businessman, Manuel Palha, expressed to the Angolan Minister the importance of creating business partnerships with the Angolan businessmen present in the areas that the Angolan Government has defined as a priority and in other areas to be defined. This, because the products that SULNOR, Lda manufactures are, in large part, already being installed in Angola and in other African Countries whose official language is Portuguese.
Taking advantage of the presence of the Angolan businessmen, Minister Dr. Joaquim Icuma Muafumba, challenged them to follow SULNOR’s example, assuring them that the new law on investment and the procedures for investing in Angola do not differentiate foreign investment from national investment and offers incentives to those who invest in the areas that the Government defined has having priority. The incentives may include tax exemption for eight years, depending on the location where the company is installed.
The Minister also recommended the businessmen of the two countries to establish bilateral business agreements.
